Privacy policy

CanAutomate ("we", "us", "our") protects your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

This website does not run its own database. Information reaches us in one of two ways:

• Through the contact form. What you submit — typically your name, business, email, phone and a description of the problem — is passed straight to our email provider and delivered to our inbox. It is not written to a database on this site. If the form cannot reach our provider, it falls back to composing the same message in your own email application, where nothing is sent until you send it.
• Through our booking provider. If you book a workflow audit, Cal.com collects the details needed to schedule it.

The sample assistant on this site runs entirely in your browser from a fixed script. It sends nothing anywhere and we never see what you type into it.

How we use it

• To reply to you and to run the work you have asked us about
• To schedule and manage appointments
• To send you communications you have asked for

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics that set no cookies and build no profile of you. We can see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and whether a button was clicked. None of it identifies you.

Where an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity has sent you here, we record the name of that assistant for the duration of your visit, using your browser's session storage. It is deleted when you close the tab, it contains no identifier, and it exists only so we can tell which sources send us useful enquiries.

Third-party services

• Cal.com — appointment scheduling. Cal.com processes booking details under its own privacy policy, and is only loaded on the workflow audit page.
• Our email provider — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox. It handles the message in transit and does not use it for anything else.

Typefaces are served from this website rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to a third party.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, and we take reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
• Withdraw consent for further processing
• Ask us to delete your personal information
