Adoption tripled in two years and still sits below one business in five. Professional, scientific and technical services leads at 32.4%; agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting sits at 4.5%. The gap between sectors is much wider than the gap between Canada and anywhere else, which suggests the useful question is not whether to adopt but which specific work is worth adopting it for.

Yes. We are based in London and we work with businesses across Canada. Most of the work — discovery calls, design reviews, build and handover — happens well over video and shared documents. Being in southwestern Ontario simply means that for businesses in London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Woodstock, St. Thomas, Sarnia or Windsor, sitting with the work in person is straightforward when it helps.
Why does being local matter for automation work?
Mostly at the discovery stage. Watching how a request actually moves through an office, a warehouse or a service counter tells you things a video call does not, particularly the informal steps nobody documents. After that, location matters much less. We would rather be honest that the value of proximity is front-loaded than claim it matters throughout.

Established small and mid-sized operations, typically somewhere between five and a couple of hundred people, with work that repeats week to week. Below that the volume often does not justify the build. Above that there is usually an internal team, and the useful conversation is a different one.
Are there Canadian grants or funding for automation projects?
There are programs that have supported technology adoption for Canadian small and mid-sized businesses, and eligibility changes from year to year. We are not funding advisors and we will not claim a project qualifies. What we will do is give you a scoped, written description of the work, which is what most applications need, and point you at the current program pages to check for yourself.
